‘We The People’ believes that ‘income is development’.
The notion of development continues to be on the assumption that the primary need of the poor people is something other than the way to make money— better health care, nutrition, education, safe drinking water, etc. In reality, money is the primary means for poor and well-off individuals who need access to the above vital resources. Social science research reveals that an increase in income of poor households, especially women, leads to augmented spending on family— health and nutrition, food and shelter, clothing, children’s education and further improvement in the quality of lives.
We The People strives to address the challenge of persistent poverty by creating income opportunities for the poor by enabling institutional, financial inclusion and business development services.
Vision: Our vision is to facilitate Million Rojgar (Jobs and livelihoods) for the people at the Bottom of the Pyramid (BoP) by 2030.
Mission: Our mission is to promote sustainable livelihoods and inclusive employability among the poor emphasising youth, women and farmers by providing institutional development services, financial inclusion services, business development services and technology support.
